An important documentary is coming out on bullying - but it's rated 'R'?

The MPAA slapped an 'R' rating on a documentary, aimed at teenagers, on bullying. The trailer itself ripped my heart out - this could possibly be one of the most poignant movies ever made on bullying, which is such an important subject and one closely centered in the meaning of 'Genshai' - not to mention an issue close to my heart. The controversy surrounds the use of too many "F" words in the movie. The MPAA has set a standard that the language in the movie crosses, while the company releasing…See More

A Kenyan student who received word that his mother had died couldn't afford to fly home to be with his family - his college in Nebraska stepped up

Last week a Kenyan student at York College (York, NE) received word that his mother passed away. Adding to his sadness was that he didn't have the $1,200 he would need for airfare to return home for the funeral. The York College family held a collection during the daily chapel program on Friday and the following Monday it was announced that $3,700 was raised. At the end of chapel, everyone gathered around the student to pray for him and his family.…See More
