Genshai Literacy Program

At Genshai, we believe literacy is a doorway to dignity, stability, and hope.

Yet far too many individuals are shut out: an estimated 50–60% of adults experiencing homelessness in the U.S. struggle with inadequate reading and writing skills meaning daily tasks, securing employment, and accessing essential services become overwhelming obstacles.

Early intervention is vital. Shockingly, 25 million American children still cannot read proficiently, and students not reading at grade level by third grade are four times less likely to graduate high school, setting the stage for lifelong hardship.

Recognizing these realities, Genshai launched the Literacy Program in their education quadrant of the Giving Genshai Non Profit, targeting communities devoid of books, trained tutors, and support structures to break the cycle of illiteracy and homelessness before it begins.

For every copy of The Gift sold, a portion of proceeds is donated into our Literacy Program funding books, volunteer tutors, summer reading camps, and digital literacy tools in underserved neighborhoods. It’s a ripple effect: one book today can transform lives tomorrow.

Join Genshai in a movement that stands for empowerment over despair, mastery over marginalization, and books over homelessness. Discover The Gift, support literacy in your community and, be part of the change.

Genshai Grandparents

Bridging Generations Through Story and Heart.

As our elder generations pass on, they take with them a priceless library of wisdom, tradition, and life lessons. At Genshai, we believe this legacy shouldn’t be lost it should be shared. That’s why we created Genshai Grandparents, a heartfelt initiative that connects older generations with young minds in our communities and schools.

Through storytelling, mentorship, and reading sessions featuring our children’s book The Gift, our Genshai Grandparents bring warmth, experience, and timeless values into the lives of today’s youth. They don’t just read they connect, sharing stories that teach children they are the gift, and to never treat anyone in a way that makes them feel small, including themselves.

These intergenerational moments help preserve culture, promote literacy, and build lasting relationships founded on mutual love and respect. It’s more than reading it’s a bridge between hearts, generations, and futures. Because when wisdom meets wonder, a new generation of kindness is born.

If you are a grandparents and would like to join the mission we’re creating please fill out the request form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
